How do you determine the price of my silver coin?
The price consists mainly of the intrinsic silver value (weight of fine silver × the current silver price per gram). For scarce years, rare mints or coins in exceptional condition, a numismatic premium can add to the plain silver value. We are always transparent about how we arrive at our offer.
How much fine silver is in my coin?
That depends on weight and purity. A coin of 25 grams at 900‰ holds, for example, 22.5 grams of fine silver. On this page you find the exact fine-silver weight for each coin. We always calculate with the real fine-silver content, not the gross weight.
I am not sure which coin I have. Can you help?
Certainly. Send us a clear photo of the obverse and reverse. We identify the coin, determine the variant and the year, and give you an honest indication of the value, entirely without obligation.
May I clean my silver coin before the valuation?
No, never clean your coin. Cleaning destroys the natural patina that collectors and dealers value precisely, and can strongly lower the numismatic value. A cleaned coin often falls back to the plain silver value. Leave the coin as it is.
Do you also buy loose coins and small quantities?

Rarely. Many common silver coins were struck in enormous runs, so they are not scarce and their value lies mainly in the fine silver.
